Concert Docs is an organization of doctors who also happen to be excellent musicians.

We offer pro bono concerts for good causes in the Ottawa area. Our primary focus is seniors' residences and long-term care homes, but we also perform at fundraisers for charitable or non-profit organizations, and at private functions in exchange for a donation to Radical Connections.

You will be mesmerized during the evening of enchanting musical performances on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Parkdale United Church (429 Parkdale at Gladstone). Your heart will thank you for this magical experience of classical music showcased by Ottawa Kiwanis Music Festival's award winners on piano, harp, strings and the guzheng.

They will be on stage with Ottawa's renown "Concert Docs" - an established musical team of doctors co-founded by Dr. Fraser Rubens, tenor, Cardiac Surgeon at the Ottawa Heart Institute and Dr. Carol Wiebe, pianist, Family Physician associated with Bruyere Continuing Care. While they are passionate about their day jobs, they are also passionate about enhancing the life-styles of seniors in particular. They use their musical gifts to give back to our community, mainly by holding benefit concerts - big or small - in long-term care centres and retirement facilities.

You will be content to know that the proceeds from this concert will help "Radical Connections" - the doctors' charity connecting the arts & health to improve the quality of the lives of elders, the Ottawa Mission and Parkdale United Church's "In From The Cold" program which provides meals for people in need.     Dr. Fraser Rubens and Dr. Carol Wiebe put on a wonderful show here at Chartwell Duke of Devonshire. It was right before Christmas (December 15, 2018), so our residents were delighted to have a Christmas concert performed for them. Faces lit up and spirits rose as the concert continued to warm all of our hearts. Thank you for what you do, the smiles you brought have lasted through the winter.
