Julie le Gal: Poetry, folksongs, dramatic readings, French, English, German

Available for In Person Events

  1. Poetry reading - I have worked on a lot of poetry in my speech formation work and love bringing it to life. I speak fluent English, French and German, and could read a patient’s favourite poet, or choose poems for them. It could be just that, or reading a poem more than once and have a conversation about what the poem does or what it evokes.

  2. Folk songs - I come from a family that loves to sing together and know many songs ranging from French Canadian, French folk songs, German, English or American ones and rounds that can be sung together with the person, if they are so disposed.

  3. Play readings - This is more of a participatory event where the patient or patients would participate in reading plays, especially classics that are rarely seen these days, or a favourite someone has. This could be over more than one session.
